Multi-titled NCAA coach Roger Gorayeb is leading yet another young squad in the Premier Volleyball League mostly composed of stars from the collegiate ranks.
With this core are two American imports in the person of open spiker Tess Nicloe Rountree and middle attacker Shelby Sullivan, first-time imports in the Philippines.
In their lucid test against Tacloban Lady Warays today, the two imports did not disappoint as they delivered the goods for PayMaya.
The two scored a combined 37 points while getting enough help from the locals.
For Coach Gorayeb, although the imports are not that flashy when it comes to attacks, he said they are “smart” players.
Despite this, Gorayeb is not alarmed at all.
“Ayos lang. We don’t need powerful attacks. We just have to be smarter,” the coach said.
