The heart of a true fighter.
Former UP Lady Maroons Nicole Tiamzon is still grateful despite falling short during the 2018 Barangay SK Elections last Monday.

Tiamzon on her official Facebook account said the campaign was not a walk in the park but is still a “priceless” experience.
“One month pre-mature campaign, 9 days campaign period, 1 election day. Hindi talaga siya naging madali for me and for all the people around me. I didn’t win the spot but the experience and memories with the team, that’s so priceless,” she posted.
The campaign, according to her, enabled her to see the reality of what’s happening in her community.
“The feeling that you will really go down to the community and you will hear all of their problems face to face and that reality strikes me a lot everytime. Yes I lost, but I gained the experience na hindi mo na ulit pwede balikan kasi tumatanda kana, I’ve also got a wider understanding on what’s really happening sa mismong community mo pa that you can’t imagine,” she said.
She also shared her gratitude to the people who were instrumental in her short yet colorful campaign.
“That’s why I really wanted to say THANK YOU for all the people who supported me and my team. Yes ngayon lang tayo lahat nagkakilala, but then i feel like matagal ko na kayo nakasama because of the acceptance and support you guys gave to me and pinagkatiwalaan niyo ako,” Tiamzon said.
“Sa lahat ng oras, pagod, tawa at iyak na binigay ko sa laban na to, maraming salamat kasi you changed me into a person na kelangan lumaban para sa tama at lalaban pa din para sa tama ngayon,” she added.

Tiamzon further reminded that with the right initiative, one can still help others even if one is not in the position.
“Even if you’re not in the position, you guys can still help people in your own little ways. Basta you always have that initiative and heart to do it even it’s for free. Kaya tuloy pa din ang pagtulong sa tao, tuloy pa rin ang laban ni Tiammy!” she closed.
Tiamzon is billed for another battle as she suits up for BanKo Perlas Pilipinas in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference 2018.
