Manchester United fans slam club for signing Daniel James from Swansea

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Manchester United have completed the signing, in principle, of Daniel James from Swansea City, and while some fans are excited about the decision, others aren’t so sure.

Social media went into a frenzy after it was officially announced that James would be a Manchester United player, and certain sections of the United fan base aren’t entirely convinced he is what they need at the moment.

And we saved the best one for the end. This fan summed it up in the best possible way.

Wishing Daniel James all the very best at Old Trafford!

Reports: Real Madrid star set to reunite with former manager at Serie A giants

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Real Madrid are set for arrivals in the upcoming summer transfer window, and could be dealing with some exits as well, with this star one of those rumoured to be on the move.

James Rodriguez has technically been away from Madrid for much of the last couple of years, but that has only been via a loan deal agreed with Bayern Munich.

The Colombian has been in and out of the team during his time in Munich, and is expected to return to Real Madrid as Bayern haven’t agreed to sign him on a permanent basis.

The future of the 27-year-old looked well and truly in doubt, but AS are now reporting that he could be set to reunite with former Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli.

The Serie A giants are looking to rebuild themselves, and could do with the ability of James in their side, especially since Ancelotti knows the midfielder well from their time together at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The AS report claims that the only thing to be decided now is a price for James Rodriguez, with Real keen to get a decent sum out of the deal after Bayern Munich refused to cash in. The Bavarians could however, still change their mind before the June 15 deadline when he returns to Madrid.

Reports: PSG superstar informs Lionel Messi he wants to join Barcelona

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Barcelona are preparing for some possible arrivals this summer, and may well get one of their old players back in the form of this Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar.

Sport are reporting that Neymar has informed his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi that he wants to return to the Catalans as early as this summer.

Neymar has been linked with a move to El Clasico rivals Real Madrid as well as a stunning move back to Barcelona, in the form of a swap deal involving Ousmane Dembele, and this would fall in the same narrative as a possible return for the Brazilian.

Whether the sensational return actually happens or not is a totally different matter, as PSG wouldn’t let their biggest star leave for cheap, but Barca are set for departures of their own, possibly opening the door for money to be spent on Neymar.

If indeed, Lionel Messi does decide to push for this particular transfer to take place, we might well end up seeing Neymar and Messi mixing it up in La Liga just like they so successfully did a few years ago.

The Blaugrana have already signed Frenkie De Jong from Ajax and are linked with a move for his teammate Matthijs De Ligt as well.

Reports: Cristiano Ronaldo receives huge offer to leave Juventus and end career at European giants

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Cristiano Ronaldo has adapted well to life at Juventus, and won the Serie A in his first season at the club. But with Massimiliano Allegri moving on, there are doubts over Ronaldo’s future as well.

Don Balon are reporting that CR7 has reportedly got an offer to move to European giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

PSG are facing a bit of a problem themselves, with the futures of both Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe still very much up in the air, with Real Madrid front runners to complete a deal.

This means that a void could be present in the PSG team, which could only be filled by a player of Ronaldo’s quality.

It is unclear if Ronaldo would even want to move, but considering the fact that he wants to win the UEFA Champions League (UCL), and PSG possessing the funds to sign pretty much whichever player they want, this could seem like a tempting offer.

Moreover, Cristiano’s Juventus boss Max Allegri has also been linked with taking over the reins at PSG from current boss Thomas Tuchel, so that could lure the Portuguese superstar to Paris as well.

It would be a huge deal if it happens, and could push Ronaldo straight to the top step once again.

Reports: Juventus turn attention to Manchester City superstar to support Cristiano Ronaldo

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Manchester City star Leroy Sane has grown increasingly disgruntled at the lack of playing time in recent weeks under Pep Guardiola, and is seeking a new challenge after impressing in his time in Manchester.

There are a number of suitors sitting ready for the German, and Juventus have emerged as one of them.

Portuguese journalist Claudia Garcia is reporting that Sane has attracted interest from Juve as well as Bayern Munich, as the two clubs fight for the winger’s signature.

FOX Sports Predicted Rating: 2/5 – Whether City let him move at all is still debatable, but with the future of Paulo Dybala sketchy at best, Cristiano Ronaldo could do with some more firepower up front next season.

Reports: Bayern Munich find ideal replacement for struggling goalkeeper Manuel Neuer

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Bayern Munich has had to change a lot of personnel in their side in a variety of different positions, but one place has remained solid as steel over the years.

That being the goalkeeping place of course. Manuel Neuer has held the fort for Bayern for the better part of the decade now, and along the way has led the club to domestic and continental glory.

His exploits earned Germany the 2014 FIFA World Cup trophy too, but chinks in the armor have started becoming clearly obvious lately.

Neuer’s fitness has become a major worry for the Bavarians, who have had to call upon their substitute keeper much more than they would have liked, and with errors slowly creeping into his game, the German shot-stopper could be nearing his end.

If it isn’t the end of his career, it certainly is the end of his time in Munich, because Sport 1 is reporting that the Bundesliga giants have already found a replacement.

Alexander Nubel could be the man they turn to in the summer transfer window, with the keeper performing brilliantly for FC Schalke in the Bundesliga.

The custodian has a similar history to Neuer, with the latter also coming from Schalke and impressing whilst there. More details are expected on the deal soon, but surely this has to be the best choice for all parties involved.

Former World Champion Boxer hints he will be Conor McGregor’s next opponent

‘Deontay Wilder is coming,’ says Fury after beating Schwarz

It used to be a dream for fans to see their favorite combat sports fighters in different arenas of the sport, but thanks to the likes of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr., that is a thing of the past.

Their fight made billions, and as a result, a number of other fighters and promoters are chomping at the bit to secure a cross-platform fight of their own.

And British Boxer Amir Khan is no different.

The former two-time World Champion is gearing up to fight Terence Crawford on Saturday, but that might be just the start of his boxing journey in many ways.

Having accomplished so much already, Amir Khan hinted that he might just relish a cross-platform fight with the very best MMA has to offer.

“Conor McGregor vs Amir Khan would be a massive fight. It’d be huge, you’ve got Irish vs English so that’ll be massive,” Khan said.

“If that happens, I’m not one to turn away from that.”

“I mean it’s business, isn’t it? We’re at a level now where it makes great business like Floyd Mayweather. We all learned from Floyd Mayweather – how he makes fights happen.”

It may just be hearsay at the moment, but an Amir vs Conor fight would rake in billions, and attract just as many in terms of viewers too.

Reports: PSG lock horns with Manchester City to sign highly-rated Borussia Dortmund star

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have made no secret of the fact that they want to sign some more players in the summer transfer window, and Manchester City too have a tendency of buying heavily during transfer time.

So it comes as no surprise that the duo are looking to invest in talent ahead of next season, and they seem to have their sights set on the same man.

The Sun are reporting that the two Arab-owned clubs will lock horns to sign Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund.

Man City will most likely lose the services of Ilkay Gundogan in the summer, and need a replacement for the ageing Fernadinho in midfield, and Weigl could be the perfect fit in that position.

Dortmund however, want £22m for their player, and it remains to be seen who out of PSG and City decide to pay that much money.

With Weigl keen on a move after falling out of favour with his manager Lucien Favre, the stage is set for a high-profile arrival at either of these massive clubs.

Reports: F1 keen to add another race in Asia to its calendar

Formula One (F1) is always looking to add to its arsenal and has plans to do so once again, as per reports from the BBC

The report suggests that F1 is planning a major push in Asia and want to add another Grand Prix in China following the success of the Shanghai event.

F1 Highlights – Chinese GP

The recent Chinese Grand Prix drew huge crowds and it has prompted the FIA to look at further options within the country as a result.

Sean Bratches, the commercial F1 boss had this to say about what they are planning in China.

“We would be highly interested in a street race,” he mentioned.

“It would be a nice juxtaposition to the purpose-built facility we have [in Shanghai]. Our intent is to bring our show to the people.”

A street race in China then. It is rather interesting considering a street race is to be made for the Vietnam Grand Prix in Hanoi come 2020 and F1 have serious plans of expanding the street further in the continent.

Lionel Messi easily leads Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard to astonishing stat for the season

Vidal hails new Real Madrid signing Kubo as ‘very skilled’

Lionel Messi proved once again that he is only getting better with age as he took home yet another top statistical honour.

This time Messi has pipped Cristiano Ronaldo to the most number of Man of the Match (MOTOM) awards in Europe this season and sits pretty at the very top.

‘Smalling hit Messi like a truck’ – Valverde on Barcelona star

The data was discovered by and further arranged by GiveMeSport (GMS) and clearly shows the Argentine leading the pile of MOTM performances. Here is the full list compiled by GMS.

1. Lionel Messi (Barcelona) – 15

2. Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – 13

3. Nicolas Pepe (Lille) – 11

4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) – 9

=5. Daniel Parejo (Valencia) – 8

=5. Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) – 8

=7. Alessio Cragno (Cagliari) – 7

=7. Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain) – 7

=9. Harry Kane (Tottenham) – 6

=9. Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) – 6

The Barcelona talisman has been in mercurial form again this campaign, and is only somewhat caught by Eden Hazard of Chelsea, who has been brilliant for his club this season.

Ronaldo can only manage fourth place behind Nicolas Pepe of Lille who continues to be linked with several top clubs.

But it’s Messi who claims top spot and proves once again that he is the one true GOAT of football.

Reports: Chelsea inch closer to signing Borussia Dortmund star dubbed ‘next Zlatan Ibrahimovic’

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Chelsea are trying their level best to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, but with the future of Eden Hazard uncertain, the Blues need striking options.

Chelsea have been hit with a transfer ban too, but the appeal on the same is ongoing, so the club continues to be linked with players, and they continue to be searching actively for them.

‘Impossible to find another Hazard’ – Sarri

If Hazard does go, it leaves a massive void in the former Premier League Champions’ team, and to fill it, they may choose youth over experience.

ESPN are reporting that Chelsea are eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Isak to solve their problems in attack.

The 19-year-old has been dubbed the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic for being Swedish and also scoring spectacular goals like the great Zlatan.

A brilliant loan spell at Dutch side Willem II has yielded 11 goals from 11 games, and brought with it interest from teams such as Chelsea.

FOX Sports Asia Predicted Rating: 3/5 – If the transfer ban gets lifted, Chelsea should move for this youngster as his goals could be key for their season. If Hazard and Callum Hudson-Odoi both move on, the new Zlatan could just become the go-to man for the Londoners.

Reports: Barcelona target shuns La Liga contract to join Jose Mourinho at his new club

Copa America 2019: Suarez, Cavani on target in Uruguay win

Jose Mourinho looks primed and ready to start work at a new club next season, and he already has a list of names that he wants at the club.

And one of those names is one that is very familiar to fans of European football. Antoine Griezmann won the World Cup with France last year, and is a major target for Barcelona in the summer, but he just might reject that move.

The reason? Well, it’s Jose Mourinho.

Don Balon are reporting that Mourinho has called Griezmann to tell him that he risks being forgotten if he doesn’t make a tough decision on his future, and that he should join Jose at his new club.

Bayern Munich and PSG look like the two clear options for Jose Mourinho at the moment, both of which could benefit greatly with the goal scoring attributes of Griezmann.

The Frenchman is looking for a new challenge after being convinced that Atletico Madrid do not possess the firepower to fight for domestic and continental glory, and at 28 years of age, Griezmann wants trophies.

Thai driver Alex Albon produces stunning ‘driver of the day’ performance at Chinese Grand Prix despite starting from pit lane

It was a day to remember for Thai driver Alexander Albon as he produced a performance for the ages in his Toro Rosso after starting from the pit lane.

A horrific crash in FP3 on Saturday meant the youngster couldn’t take part in qualifying, and a change in chassis meant he needed to start Sunday’s main race from the pits and in 20th and last place.

F1 Chinese Grand Prix Main Race – First Lap action

That didn’t seem to deter the Thai however, as he produced a masterclass in F1 driving as the field looked on in awe.

Albon picked apart driver after driver and at one point even had the fastest lap of the race though that honor quickly faded. Nonetheless, it was Albon who asserted himself as his partner Daniil Kvyat was forced to retire midway through the race.

F1 Chinese Grand Prix Main Race – Alex Albon on the charge

The overtakes kept coming thick and fast for Albon, who was duly acknowledged for his efforts as well, and he sustained the race pace right till the end, fighting off the challenge of other drivers and finishing in tenth place and within the points.

Thai-Brit driver Alexander Albon explains his helmet design

What made the drive even better for him however, was the fact that Albon was voted as the ‘driver of the day’ by F1 fans for his marvellous comeback ahead of the likes of Lewis Hamilton who won the race, and even Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari.

The crash on Saturday may have been disappointing, but the race performance proved Albon can very well hang with the very best in the business.
