CJ Perez career game leads Lyceum over San Sebastian, nears NCAA sweep

CJ Perez unleashed a career performance as Lyceum of the Philippines University edged San Sebastian, 78-73 on Friday to record its 15th straight win to close in on a possible elimination round sweep in the 93rd NCAA basketball tournament at the Filoil Arena in San Juan City.

Perez erupted for 28 points to lead the Pirates, who are now three wins away from sweeping their way to the finals.

LPU’s last three games include Letran on Oct. 6, Jose Rizal on Oct. 13 and defending champion San Beda on Oct. 19.

The Stags fell to a share of third to fifth spots with a 7-7 (win-loss) mark.
