JUSTIN Brownlee has returned to Ginebra much like his role in last season’s Commissioner’s Cup.
But after falling short of last season’s campaign, can Brownlee become the Gin Kings’ last action hero this time?
Sheryl Reyes, who represents Brownlee in the Philippines, confirmed thru his Facebook account that the two-time PBA champion will play in the Gin Kings’ next game.
The Gin Kings are sporting a 1-3 and Brownlee still has enough time to turn things around with teams taking a break via the All-Star Weekend.
“Mga ka-barangay it’s official Justin Brownlee is back … Ginebra’s import once again .. Watch him next game woot woot #teamreyes,” posted Reyes on his Facebook account.
Fresh from winning the ABL title where he teamed up with fellow reinforcement Renaldo Balkman, who is now playing for San Miguel Beer, Brownlee found himself in a similar situation from last season.
Brownlee played in the Commissioner’s Cup last season, but lost in the semifinals series to Joshua Smith and the TNT Ka Tropa.
He returned shortly after to spearhead the Gin Kings’ campaign in the season ending conference and led the team to complete back-to-back championships in the Governors Cup.
