THE 26th and last spot for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League belongs to Bacoor.

On late Monday night, officials of the fastest growing regional basketball league welcomed Bacoor and formalized its entry with a contract signing.

MPBL officials led by commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, assistant commissioner Satar Macantal and operations head Zaldy Realubit and representatives of the Bacoor Strikers headed by team owners Jonas Castro and Federico Hui signed the documents, making them the second city in Cavite to be part of this fledgling league put up by Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Bacoor will be the last expansion squad to be accepted by the MPBL this season, which will start on June 12 at the Araneta Coliseum.
