Still growing: Kai Sotto officially listed an inch taller

Kai Sotto continues to (literally) reach for the sky.

The 17-year-old Filipino basketball prodigy is back in Atlanta, Georgia for more intensive training in preparation for a possible Europe stint.

A standard height measurement revealed that towering teen grew another inch, according to an Instagram post by his sports agency East West Private.

“I am now officially 7’2,” Sotto captioned the photo, which he reposted in an Instagram story.

The UAAP Season 81 Jrs. MVP was one of the few bright spots in Gilas Youth’s 14th place finish in the 2019 FIBA U-19 World Cup last month. He normed 11.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 blocks, and 2 assists in the tournament.

Sotto showed tremendous growth after his month-long training in the US prior to the start of the World Cup. Aside from sporting a much stronger physique, he also displayed improved footwork and a smoother stroke from behind the arc.
