Dionisio was chosen over other candidates, which include Jemal Vizcarra and Harold Arboleda.

Vizcara made a triumphant return after being idle for one season in the MPBL. In his comeback game, the former University of Santo Tomas standout knocked in 27 points on 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc while steering the Parañaque Patriots to an 89-83 come-from-behind win over the Valenzuela Classic.

Arboleda, on the other hand, had another solid game as he registered his 22nd double-double performance, the most by any player in the league.

The 6-foot-3 forward finished with 11 points and 16 rebounds while towing the Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines to an 82-69 triumph over the Pasig-Sta. Lucia Realtors.
