Games Tuesday

(Strike Gymnasium)

4 p.m. – Rizal vs Batangas City

6:30 p.m. – Quezon City vs Imus

8:30 p.m. – Bacolod vs Bacoor

BACOOR hosts expansion team Bacolod on Tuesday night at the Strike Gymnasium, hoping to keep a firm grip of the solo second spot of the southern division of the MPBL Lakan Season.

The Strikers have won seven of the nine games and are just half a game behind reigning southern division champion Davao Occidental Tigers. They are favored against the Bacolod-Master Sardines, whom they will be facing in the 8:30 p.m. main game.

It will be a tough task for Bacolod, which is currently at the 12th spot of the southern division, carrying a 3-6 win-loss slate. The team is coming off a disappointing loss to the Caloocan Supremos and will have a more formidable assignment at hand against the Strikers.

But Bacolod had proven it could pull off wins even against several powerhouse squads in the league, including victories over Zamboanga and Muntinlupa.

Four more squads will also see action.

Quezon City and Imus try to get back on the winning track as they square off in the 6:30 p.m. encounter while Batangas City will take on Rizal in the other game at 4 p.m.

Imus is coming off back-to-back losses and fell deeper in the standings with a 2-5 card. The Bandera will vent their ire on the Capitals squad that was also beaten soundly by the San Juan Knights last time around.

Batangas City, on the other hand, is determined to bounce back on the win column and the inaugural staging champion is heavily favored against a Rizal team that has lost its last six games.
