The Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines made another aggressive move late Saturday night.
Zamboanga acquired two more blue chip players in Santi Santillan and Anton Asistio, whom they picked up in separate deals.
Santillan was shipped by Bataan to Zamboanga in exchange for big man Steven Cudal and Gino Jumao-as, giving the Britt Reroma-mentored team an additional frontliner.
Zamboanga also picked up Alvin Pasaol a few days ago in exchange for MPBL All-Star Reed Juntilla.
As soon as the team solidified its frontline by getting Pasaol and Santillan to join forces with mainstays Harold Arboleda, Leo de Vera, and promising big man Med Salim up front, Zamboanga also nabbed young, talented shooting guard Anton Asistio, who was acquired in exchange for ex-pro Mark Macapagal and Joseph Nalos.
Asistio will now share minutes in the backcourt with dead shot gunner Robin Rono, ex-pro Raphy Reyes and Ryan Costello, among others.
MPBL commissioner Kenneth Duremdes confirmed the approval of trade transactions to FOX Sports Philippines.
