The Bacoor Strikers will continue to miss the services of the ailing Gab Banal when they take on the Basilan Steel in the main game of the MPBL Lakan Season at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor City.
Banal was still confined at the hospital on the eve of the Strikers’ encounter with the visiting Steel and team owner Chaye Cabal-Revilla confirmed to FOX Sports Philippines in a text message that the reigning MVP will definitely not see action.
In the Strikers’ last game against the Pampanga Giant Lanterns, Banal played despite nursing a high fever. That energy-zapping took a toll on the second generation player who had to be confined at the Makati Medical Center once the team returned home.
Doctors found out that Banal suffered from dengue.
Basilan is expected to take advantage of the situation in their 8:30 p.m. encounter.
