It’s either Ray Parks or Lawrence Domingo for the Mandaluyong El Tigre in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
A ruling that allows a team to fill in only one Fil-foreign player will force the El Tigre to release any between Parks and Domingo.
“Hindi puwedeng dalawang Fil-foreign player sa isang team ” MPBL commissioner Kenneth Duremdes told FOX sports Philippines.
Duremdes explained this rationale to make the league more exciting for our local players.
Parks, the 6-foot-3, two-time UAAP MVP who helped Alab Pilupinas to the ABL championship is considered a Fil-Am.
“His dad is an American so he’s a Fil-Am. So goes with Domingo. Kailangan sila pumili kasi isa lang ang allowed, ” added Duremdes.
Domingo, a 6-foot-5 frontliner, is a solid presence on both ends of the court for Alab.
