EX-PROS Chito Jaime and Allan Mangahas and hardworking teammate Felix Apreku of the Muntinlupa Cagers-Angelis Resort were among the top performers in the recent MPBL-Anta Rajah Cup.
Jaime, who played for four PBA teams, led the league in total points with 269 points, although Gary David of Bataan led the scoring average with close to 21 points per game.
The 6-foot-4 Jaime has been doing it on both ends of the court, leading the Cagers all the way to the championship round.
His two other teammates also shone in different categories.
Mangahas, who briefly played for the Meralco Bolts in the PBA, was the best in assists and steals, cementing his hold as the top point guard in the fastest growing league in the country.
The 5-foot-11 guard dished out a total of 95 assists last conference and nabbed 32 steals.
Apreku, a 6-foot-4 forward, led the players in most number of rebounds with 200 caroms and his inside presence made the Cagers a formidable force on both ends of the court.
Batangas City’s Jhaymo Eguilos, who was a steady presence during the finals series, led the league in most blocks with a total of 25.
