IMUS is dead serious in loading up its roster for the coming Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League season.
After expressing interest in getting Andre Paras, the GLC Truck and Equipment-backed squad is also setting its sights on his more illustrious brother, Kobe, who is currently in the country playing with Gilas Pilipinas Cadet in the Filoil Flying V Tournament.
A highly-placed source who requested anonymity confirmed to FOX Sports Philippines in an exclusive interview that the team wants not just Andre but also his brother as well to play with the Jerry Codiñera-mentored team.
Codiñera and Benjie Paras, dad of the two second generation players, were long-time teammates with the national team during the late 1980s.
“We are on negotiations regarding that. It’s a possibility,” the source who requested anonymity wrote during the online interview.
Andre had already attended Imus’ practices and is scheduled to sign up with the squad anytime soon and having Kobe on board is likely, according to the source.
