Ex-PBA cager Leo Najorda signs not with Pasig but with Davao Occi

FORMER PBA player Leo Najorda is making his return to the local cage circuit via the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League but unlike in previous reports, the lefty forward is headed down south.

Davao Occidental Tigers, an expansion team from the south, was able to lure Najorda.

The 6-foot-3, former San Sebastian stalwart was previously negotiating with Pasig but was able to be swayed by the Tigers, the champion in the recent four-team preseason games in Polomolok, South Cotabato just recently.

This was confirmed by Najorda himself to FOX Sports Philippines.

“Nakapirma na ako, pero hindi sa Pasig, sa Davao,” wrote Najorda in an online interview.

Najorda will team up with Billy Ray Robles, the sensational guard who briefly saw action with Rain or Shine, in spearheading the Tigers.
