QC Capitals unveil ‘Harden ng Pinas’ as homegrown player for MPBL

AFTER a busy weekend signing key players for their campaign in the coming MPBL season, the Quezon City Capitals shifted their attention to signing a “larong labas” legend who will become part of their homegrown unit this coming season.

Roi Nicolas, a player who established his reputation as one among the most popular cagers in recreational leagues, will be joining the revamped Capitals.

Team manager Niño Dionisio confirmed this development to FOX Sports Philippines.

“He’s a shooting guard/small forward. Kung tawagin siya sa ligang labas, ‘Harden ng Pinas’,” Dionisio wrote in an exclusive online interview.

Earlier, the Capitals worked double time tinkering their line up.

They’ve signed Mon Mabayo to team up with Gian Abrigo in providing the energy for the Capitals.

Quezon City, which took pride in playing without an ex-pro in the inaugural Anta Rajah Cup, acquired two former PBA players over the weekend — comebacking guard Jojo Duncil and big man Magi Sison.
