MAKATI completes its five ex-pro cast by signing up James Mangahas.
Team owner Paolo Orbeta confirmed the news to FOX Sports Philippines, saying Mangahas will be the fifth ex-pro tapped by the squad after Rudy Lingganay, Philip Paniamogan, Mark Isip and Jeckster Apinan.
Although they’ve already completed the ex-PBA players who will see action in their squad, Orbeta believes the amateur players and the homegrown talents will also play a big role for the squad moving forward.
Former Bataan Defenders forward Ace Lacsamana and 6-foot-2 swingman Joseph Manlangit, who played for Cafe France, will also play a crucial role on the rotation, according to Orbeta.
“So goes with the six homegrown players we have,” added Orbeta. “These homegrown players will be part of the rotation, hindi sila display lang. We want to train them more. We need everybody on the team. It’s a long season and everybody will play a key role.”
