Mighty Sports back on mainstream cage scene via MPBL’s Bulacan Kuyas

Denver’s Murray hails Jokic partnership after NBA play-off win

A FAMILIAR fixture in the basketball circuit is making its return to the cage scene.

Mighty Sports, which has supported the Philippines’ representatives to the William Jones Cup tournament two years ago and a staunch backer of basketball, has become the latest company to enter the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

The group headed by Cesar Wongchuking is coming in as sponsor for the Bulacan Kuyas in the fastest growing regional amateur basketball league put up by Senator Manny Pacquiao with PBA legend Kenneth Duremdes serving as commissioner.

Mighty Sports and Bulacan Kuyas management headed by Congressman Jose Antonio Sy-Alvarado forged the partnership at the beginning the MPBL Datu Cup.

Aside from bankrolling the Philippine squad to the Jones Cup and sealing a partnership with the Bulacan Kuyas, Mighty Sports has also been involved in sponsoring special segments in the PBA several years ago and has also been putting up its own teams in the Republika Cup and the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League.
