(Blue Eagle Gym)
7 p.m. – Mandaluyong vs Pasig
9 p.m. – Quezon City vs Gen San
The Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League is going to the Blue Eagle Gym for the first time when Quezon City hosts Gen San in the main game of the Datu Cup elimination round.
Supported by Black Mamba, the Capitals will be using the Blue Eagle Gym, used to be the homecourt of the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the past, as their main venue for the fastest growing regional amateur basketball league in the country.
Last season, Quezon City’s homecourt was the JCSGO Gym in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Blue Eagle Gym also hosted several major events in the past, including the UAAP Games during the 1990s.
Quezon City is hoping the new homecourt could change its fortunes as it tries to break into the win column against Gen San in the main game at 9 p.m.
Like Quezon City, Pasig is also looking for its first win, but needs to get it at the expense of the formidable Mandaluyong side, which it will be facing in the first game at 7 p.m.
