JAN Jamon and Yvan Ludovice combined forces to provide the Pasay Voyagers the much needed lift, allowing their squad to escape with a 79-75 win over the Imus Bandera-GLC Truck and Equipment Wednesday night at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
Jamon had another productive game, finishing with a career-high 27 points to power the Voyagers to their first ever back-to-back wins in the MPBL Datu Cup.
He got the support he needed from Ludovice, the cool and calculating guard, who added 23 points, as the duo led the Voyagers to their fourth win in 11 games.
Jamon fired 16 of his total output in the second half, including the go-ahead lay-up in the last 26 seconds that put the Voyagers on top, 76-75.
In the next play, Wilson Baltazar took an ill-advised hurried jumper with still 20 seconds to go which failed to hit the mark, and Imus had to give up a duty foul on Ludovice, who calmly made both charities with 15 seconds to go to give Pasay a 78-75 lead.
Without a timeout left, Imus had to rush to the other end as guard Matthew Bernabe lost control of the basketball and Ludovice came up with a steal.
Ludovice then split his charities for the final tally.
After winning four in a row, Imus dropped its last two games and fell to a 5-5 record.
