MANDALUYONG snapped a five-game losing skid on Thursday night as it vented its ire on Quezon City, 87-76, in the MPBL Datu Cup at the Ynares Sports Center in Pasig.
Five players, led by new recruit Ronjay Buenafe, finished in double figures for the El Tigre, who now improved their win-loss record to 7-6.
Buenafe ended up with 15 points, the same output tallied by Janue Lozada. Antonio Bonsubre added 13, Gian Abrigo chipped in 12 and Jonathan Boholano contributed 10 in a display of balance firepower by Mandaluyong.
Quezon City, which fell to 3-8 card, was led by Alwyn Alday’s 12 markers.
