HAROLD Arboleda put up monster numbers once more as the Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines dominated the Pasay Voyagers, 91-74, in the MPBL Datu Cup on Wednesday.
Arboleda finished three assists shy of a triple-double as he ended up with 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists while powering Zamboanga back on the winning track.
But Arboleda isn’t the only other player who posted a double-double showing as Allan Santos had 10 points and 13 rebounds. The two frontliners combined forces as Zamboanga outrebounded Pasay, 48-34.
With the latest triumph, Zamboanga improved its win-loss record to 9-12 to get back in contention for a playoff berth. The win put Zamboanga at eighth spot in the southern division of this tournament.
Shaquile Alanes and Jan Jamon were the only players in double figures for Pasay, tallying 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Following the latest setback, the Voyagers suffered their 16th loss in 23 games and stayed at 12th spot of the tough northern division put up by Senator Manny Pacquiao with PBA legend and former MVP Kenneth Duremdes serving as commissioner.
