After making the playoffs of the ongoing MPBL Datu Cup, the Caloocan Supremos made gradual improvements by acquiring an ex-pro guard and a promising homegrown player who could help the team’s campaign next season.
AJ Mandani, a PBA journeyman, was tapped by the Supremos for the coming season, while big man John Ambulodto was also added in the line up.
Head coach John Kallos confirmed the news to FOX PH in an exclusive online interview.
“He’s a slasher, team player and a big guard,” wrote Kallos. “Ambulodto is an inside worker.”
Mandani, a Filipino-Canadian player, is one among those players who has had short career in the PBA. He played for Meralco, GlobalPort, and Mahindra and also had stints in the ASEAN Basketball League playing for the Singapore Slingers. He was also part of the Jumbo Plastic Linoleum champion squad in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League.
Ambulodto is a 6-foot-5 young player who previously played for the Parañaque Patriots.
