The 76ers may want to add a guard.

Philadelphia “could have eyes for” Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor reported on a recent podcast. The 76ers are also “highly interested,” in acquiring Cavaliers sharpshooter Kyle Korver, according to an earlier report from the New York Times.

Caldwell-Pope has averaged 6.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game with the Lakers this season. He has also struggled shooting the basketball as he has knocked down just 28.2 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Caldwell-Pope signed a new one-year, $12 million deal with the Lakers this offseason after he played for the team in 2017-18. He is not eligible to be traded until Dec. 15.

The 76ers have an open roster spot and are looking to add shooters after they traded Dario Saric and Robert Covington to the Timberwolves in exchange for Jimmy Butler last weekend.

Butler is expected to make his 76ers debut when they face the Magic on Wednesday.
