Rockets injury news: Mike D’Antoni gives updates on Chris Paul (hamstring), Eric Gordon (knee)

‘The series don’t start till you win on the road’ – Lillard on Blazers 2-0 lead against Oklahoma

Coach Mike D’Antoni said Gordon will be back in roughly a week, while Paul has a 2-3 weeks of recovery time left.

It’s going to take a few more weeks for the Rockets’ starting lineup to be back.

Coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters Tuesday he expects Eric Gordon to be back in roughly a week and for Chris Paul to rejoin the team in 2-3 weeks.

Paul has been dealing with a recurring hamstring injury and has missed the last eight games, while Gordon hurt his knee at the end of December in the Rockets’ game against the Pelicans.

Gordon has averaged 15.7 points this year, while Paul is averaging 15.6.

In their absence, James Harden has gone off. He has scored at least 32 points in the past 13 games and went on a streak of scoring 40 or more five games in a row during that time.
