Knicks discuss deal with Bulls that includes Enes Kanter, Jabari Parker — report

The Knicks continue to explore their options to move Enes Kanter.

New York has had preliminary discussions with the Bulls about receiving forward Jabari Parker in a deal that would include the 26-year-old center, according to a report from the New York Daily News, which cites unidentified league sources.

But, the negotiations hit a “snag” as the Knicks needed to find a third team to include in the trade, the report says. Kanter would be sent to that team in the deal, according to the report.

Kanter has had a reduced role with the Knicks as they’ve begun to focus on developing their younger players. He’s averaging 14.4 points and 11 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game this season.

The Kings have also reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Kanter.

Meanwhile, Parker — who signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Bulls this summer — has had a rough first season in Chicago. He was removed from their rotation in mid-December and they have reportedly been looking to trade him.

Parker has tallied 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in 31 appearances for Chicago.
