Greg Slaughter clarifies his side regarding basketball hiatus: ‘I was never aware of any trade’

Greg Slaughter denied “inaccurate theories” about speculations regarding his hiatus from basketball by airing his side on his personal Twitter account last Tuesday night.

In his tweet, the Cebuano slotman vehemently denied that his hiatus was brought about by offers and trade chatter that would ship him away from the Ginebra Gin Kings.

“There have been a lot of inaccurate theories going around about my recent decision,” said in his post.

“I never received any contract offer. It’s unfair to say I made demands when there was no offer. I was never aware of any trade,” he further clarified.

Playing for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings, Slaughter has amassed four PBA championships, one Best Player of the Conference award, and five All-Star citations. He has also been tapped to play for Gilas Pilipinas in numerous occasions.
