Former King Tiger Kevin Ferrer is about to join his fellow Gilas members in the PBA millionaires’ club as Ginebra is set to sign him to a three-year rookie maximum contract worth P8.5 million on Monday.
The 23-year old Ferrer’s sports agent Marvin Espiritu of EMBM Sports Management confirmed the news to FOX Sports on Sunday.
A key player in three UST’s bridesmaid finish in the UAAP, the versatile forward is pumped up to play for another electrifying crowd–from “Go USTe” to “GI-NE-BRA”.
“Sobrang excited and blessed,” Ferrer, who was in Batangas for Gin Kings’ Liga ng Bayan preseason game against Blackwater, told FOX Sports.
Ferrer joins former Thomasian stalwarts Jervy Cruz and Aljon Mariano at the Gin Kings fold while starting the youth movement alongside exciting guard Scottie Thompson.
