Changes coming for Blackwater as Henry Walker set to replace Famous

With the Blackwater Elite languishing with a 0-6 record this 2018 Commissioner’s Cup, team owner Dioceldo Sy is looking to make some key changes in the roster – starting with an import change.

“We feel na medyo lacking in aggressiveness si Famous eh. His total numbers may look good on paper, but we felt that we should bring in Henry Walker as early as now to prepare for the next conference,” Sy said in a phone call interview with FOX Sports PH.

Despite coming in as a late replacement in last year’s Governor’s Cup, Walker has made quite an impression with the Blackwater brass by towing the team into their first ever playoff appearance and almost upsetting the top-seeded Meralco Bolts.

“Initially, we wanted to bring in Wayne Chism in the fold. Pero 0-6 na kami ngayon eh, so we figured na by bringing in Walker, makaka form na kaagad ng team chemistry and he’ll act as an extended part of our coaching staff na rin,” added Sy.

In addition to the import change, Sy is looking at the Al-Hussaini-Erram tandem to form a strong front court for the Elite. Al-Hussaini was brought in via trade two days ago in exchange for burly forward Dave Marcelo. Next up in his list: one or two more point guards to bolster their back court.

“No names in particular pa. I’ll have to do some research pa on which guard/s we will get,” Sy said when asked if there are particular names that he’ll be looking for in trying to improve their back court.
