A returning Alex Cabagnot helped San Miguel blow out Blackwater, 93-79, to snap a two-game losing skid in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
In his first game back from nose surgery, Cabagnot tallied 19 points and five rebounds as the Beermen climbed to an even 3-3 win-loss record.
June Mar Fajardo, on the other hand, threw his weight around the block and amassed 20 points, 21 rebounds and four blocks.
San Miguel was engaged in a tight one against the Elite after leading by just three, 44-41. The story flipped in the second half as the Beermen, buoyed by an aggressive Cabagnot, broke the game wide open to erect an 87-66 lead midway through the fourth period.
Terrence Romeo was also productive in his first game with SMB after scoring 17 points, grabbing five boards and handing out four assists.
Roi Sumang paced Blackwater with 17 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Mike DiGregorio chipped in 14 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Allein Maliksi also had a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Elite, who lost their fourth game in five tries.
