NLEX seized its fourth win by making it rain against Blackwater, 122-101, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Philip Paniamogan drained five triples and dropped 22 of his 25 points in the second half to help the Road Warriors improve to 4-5 in the standings.

A Paniamogan layup gave NLEX its largest lead of the game at 29, 84-55, with under five minutes left in the third quarter, but an upset-minded Blackwater didn’t let up and trimmed the lead to as low as nine, 86-95, early in the final frame.

But NLEX’s main guns were just too much as they restored the lead to 20 after two straight threes from Bong Galanza gave them a 110-90 lead with three minutes left in the game.
