2019 PBA All-Star: Beau Belga defends Obstacle Challenge after bucking early trip

Rain or Shine big man Beau Belga successfully retained his Obstacle Challenge title during the 2019 PBA All-Star Weekend on Friday at the Calasiao Sports Complex in Pangasinan.

Belga won his second straight crown by clocking a 21-second finish in the final round, barely beating Colubian Dyip’s Russell Escoto (21.3 seconds) for the win.

The 32-year-old slotman almost didn’t make the finals after tripping in the second round against Meralco’s Bryan Faundo. Despite the blunder, he was still able to win the matchup by finishing at 23 seconds.

Defending five-time Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo exited early in the first round after losing to Faundo.

Other participants were included Alaska’s Noy Baclao, Barangay Ginebra’s Prince Caperal, Blackwater’s Raymar Jose, Magnolia’s Kyle Pascual, NLEX’s Marion Magat, NorthPort’s Mo Tautuaa and Phoenix’s Justin Chua.
