ONE Championship bolsters Super Series with Muay Thai champions

ONE Championship has bolstered its burgeoning roster of with the acquisition of Muay Thai champions Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

They join the promotion’s list of top-notch martial arts talent by signing an exclusive multi-bout contract.

Chatri Sityodtong, chairman and CEO of ONE Championship, stated: “In ONE Championship, we make sure to deliver only the absolute best that Asia and the rest of the world can offer.

“I am pleased to announce the signing of Thailand’s very best and young Muay Thai practitioners like Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon and Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

“We will be seeing these two outstanding Thai kickboxing icons on the ONE Championship stage very soon.

“I guarantee that they will keep our loyal fans at the edge of their seats each time they compete in ONE Championship.”

24-year-old Yodpanomrung is considered by Thai boxing pundits as one of the top pound-for-pound Muay Thai practitioners in the world.

Having 300 professional bouts under his belt, Yodpanomrung has built a reputation as being an explosive striker with stunning knockout power.

He has won numerous championships throughout his career, including the WMC and WPMF World Championship titles.

Yodpanomrung stated: “I am happy to be part of the growing ONE Championship family. I would also like to thank everyone who made this possible.

“I can’t wait to have my promotional debut and exhibit what I am capable of doing. The fans must not blink every time I am inside the ring or cage because I could finish the contest at any time.”

20-year-old Rodtang, nicknamed “The Iron Man”, is one of the most recognizable names in the world of Muay Thai, capturing the Omnoi Stadium World Championship on two occasions.

Known for his exciting Muay Mat style, which specializes in devastating strikes and always looks to charge forward to instantly inflict damage, Rodtang has beaten some of Thailand’s biggest Muay Thai superstars.

With a professional record of 250-40-10, Rodtang makes his foray to ONE Championship.

Rodtang stated: “I am honored to be part of this world-class martial arts organization. With ONE Championship opening its doors for other martial artists like me to join and showcase our talent on a global stage, it means a lot to me as an athlete.

“This is a new challenge, and I love challenges. I am looking forward to my debut in ONE Championship.”

Both Yodpanomrung and Rodtang will be part of the highly-acclaimed ONE Super Series, which was launched by ONE Championship last April.
