LIVE: UFC Fight Night 149: Alistair Overeem vs Alexey Oleinik – updates, streaming, scores, results, watch live, bout

Former UFC Heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos believes he can rule division once more ahead of Curtis Blaydes fight

Two well travelled, time-tested veterans in Alistair Overeem and Alexey Oleinik go to war in the main event of the hard hitting UFC St.Petersburg card.

Other fighters also featured on the card are Lightweight prospect Islam Makhachev, Antonina Shevchenko, Krzysztof Jotko and Devin Clark, among others.

Overeem and Oleinik go back some ways, having trained together in the past and openly accepting that they still maintain a good relationship with one another.

However, all that has to be put aside when they fight each other in what could be a pivotal fight to propel both of them forwards in a relatively thin heavyweight division.

Overeem even mentioned in an exclusive interview to FOX Sports Asia that he’s coming off a win over Sergey Pavlovic – who also fights on the card – and is looking to string together two more victories to catapult him into title contention.
