UFC fighter Conor McGregor took to Twitter to announce his retirement from MMA and the WWE Universe couldn’t refrain from commenting on this shocking event. While some of the WWE Superstars offered to celebrate with the UFC sensation, others speculated a possible appearance of the Notorious One on WrestleMania 35.
This is not the first time when McGregor has announced his retirement from MMA. He also tweeted about retiring from the sport back in 2016. However, he was in back in the fight in no time and currently holds a record of 21 wins and four losses in his professional MMA career.
Now, that may not be the case this time. Here’s what he Tweeted:
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!

Additionally, Dana White also supported McGregor’s decision in a series of texts sent to Brett Okamoto.

With only two weeks to go for WrestleMania 35, it is impossible to deny the possibility of McGregor heading towards WWE.
After all, both the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey are former MMA Champions.
Here’s what the WWE Universe had to say:
Second round is on me😉 https://t.co/1liGxXhVTG
