Perhaps it was the relationship they shared as ward and coach on The Ultimate Fighter, but Alexandre Pantoja chanelled his inner Cejudo to KO high ranked Wilson Reis.
It was a stutter step to reach forward followed by a right hook to fell Reis, before following up with ground and pound to finish the job. It is telling that Cejudo’s finish of Reis was also quite similar – as DC pointed out on commentary.
Only, Pantoja got it done much quicker than Henry Cejudo did.
Sign of things to come?
Much excitement going forward in the Flyweight division. Reis was ranked number 4. Pantoja just made a massive leap forward in the rankings with that victory.
