Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was named the 2015 African Player of the Year last week, beating Yaya Toure and Andre Ayew to the prestigious award, and the BVB Dortmund man has loved every minute since.
The striker’s award hasn’t been without its controversy, with both Toure and Ayew having a bit of a moan about the fact that their respective countries both performed better at the Africa Cup of Nations than Aubameyang’s Gabon side did.
However, Aubameyang has probably been too busy to notice their complaints, with the 26-year-old heading from the awards ceremony in Nigeria to his native Gabon where he was met with much fanfare.

Aubameyang, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal, then returned to Dubai where his Dortmund team-mates have been training during the Bundesliga’s winter break. And it appears it’s not only his countryman who appreciate the frontman’s efforts…

Having netted 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches this season, it’s certainly not hard to see why Aubameyang has become a fan favourite and is rated as one of the brightest talents in European football.
