Luis Enrique revealed he is confidence that Barcelona won’t slip up in any of their remaining three matches following the club’s 6-0 thumping of Sporting Gijon.
Barcelona were in danger of blowing a league title which appeared to have been all but won after losing three consecutive matches earlier this month.
However, the Catalan giants have responded by thrashing Deportivo 8-0 in midweek, before putting Sporting Gijon to the sword on Saturday to move back to the top of the table, albeit level on points with Atletico Madrid.
“We have a game at home and two away left. It looks positive,” Luis Enrique said.
“We no longer have the [points] advantage. [But] I think we will not fail any of the three. I hope so because we would be champions.
“Let’s focus on a week’s worth of training, which is something we do not usually have and we can work on things that normally we cannot.”
Barca’s resurgence has fired a warning shot to their title rivals, with Luis Suarez scoring four goals in both matches, but Luis Enrique admits his side cannot afford another falter in form.
“I rely on what I see on the pitch,” he added. “If we play well, we cause difficulties.
“I am optimistic because I see my players train and see my players fight against complicated situations. We’ve been around a negative dynamic.
“Right now we are in a better situation of the three challengers, but we have no room to trip up.”
