Ribeiro: ‘Three big clubs’ eyeing Neymar

Brazil ladies ‘in harmony and ready’ for World Cup challenge

Neymar’s former agent Wagner Ribeiro has claimed that the Barcelona superstar is on the radar of "three big clubs".

While Ribeiro did not mention the identity of the three clubs, he said that they are willing to pay the Catalans his €200 million release clause.

Despite the interest, Ribeiro made it clear that Neymar, whose current contract expires in June 2018, is extremely happy at Camp Nou.

"There are three big clubs who want to sign Neymar and to pay Barcelona his €200m clause," he told Radio Jovem Pan. "I cannot say any more in this conversation because it is confidential. I can only assure you that Neymar is happy in Barcelona."

There had been reports that Neymar was supposed to sign a contract extension following Barcelona’s Copa del Rey triumph in May, but nothing came to fruition.

This has led to speculation that Real Madrid, Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain could make a move for the 24-year-old this summer.

It is understood that legal issues stemming from Neymar’s move to Barcelona from Santos in 2013 had been hindering a new deal, but Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu confirmed that a €5.5 million settlement had been reached with the Spanish tax authorities.
