Swansea have reportedly accepted an offer of £12m for Wales international Ashley Williams from Premier League rivals Everton.

The Toffees have made the move for the 31-year-old centre-half after agreeing to sell John Stones to Manchester City for a fee of £47.5m on Tuesday.

Newly-appointed Everton boss Ronald Koeman made a £10m bid for Williams at the start of the month, but saw the offer rejected by the Swans.

According to Danny Gabbidon, who consults Williams' agent, the deal is close to be concluded, with the player poised to undergo a medical.

Williams has three years remaining on his current contract, and has yet to feature for the Swans in pre-season following his exertions at the 2016 European Championship in France.
