Alen Halilovic says his focus is on Hamburger SV, insisting the buy-back option Barcelona hold over him is not something that he is thinking about.
The Bundesliga club dished out €5 million to Barcelona last month to secure Halilovic's services on a permanent basis, although the Spanish club have the option for a €3m buy-back arrangement, after at least one season.
However, the former Dinamo Zagreb forward says his focus is very much in Germany and that he is not pondering a possible return to his former club.
"I'm not thinking about whether Barca is going to exercise their buy-back option. I'm only interested with the here and now," he was quoted as saying by fourfourtwo.
The 20-year-old, who had three goals and five assists in 36 league appearances on loan for Sporting Gijon last season, says he is settling in well at Hamburg and is looking forward to making a positive contribution in attack.
"At the moment everything is excellent. I've been received very well, and I have team-mates who speak Croatian which helps greatly," he said.
"I'll continue to concentrate only on football, and consequently work, the reason I signed for Barcelona in the first place."
