Wilshere faces Palace or Bournemouth choice

Guardiola ‘satisfied’ despite losing against Wolves on penalties in PL Asia trophy final

Jack Wilshere looks set to remain in the Premier League, with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth emerging as favourites to sign the Arsenal midfielder on loan.

A series of injuries have set Wilshere's Gunners career back, manager Arsene Wenger willing to let the 24-year-old go out on loan after having reinforced his squad with the likes of Switzerland's Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, the Egyptian international central midfielder.

Wilshere has reportedly attracted attention across Europe, including clubs such as Sporting Lisbon and Benfica.

But according to Sky Sport, he is keen to remain close to home and as such held talks with Crystal Palace manager boss Alan Pardew on Tuesday afternoon before meeting Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe later in the evening.

It is now believed that Wilshere will inform Pardew and Howe of his decision on Wednesday.

Wilshere, who went on loan at Bolton Wanderers earlier in his career, made only one Premier League start last season and has not been included in Sam Allardyce's first England squad for the World Cup qualifier away to Slovakia on Sunday.
