Pep Guardiola says his Manchester City outfit will face the best team in the world, when they lock horns with FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.
The UCL draw took place last week, with the Citizens drawn in a Group C alongside Borussia Monchengladbach, Celtic and the Primera Division champions.
“We will play against the best. Nobody plays better than Barca,” he told Catalunya Radio.
“The three players upfront [Messi, Suarez and Neymar] make the difference but there is also a lot of work that goes at the back.”
Guardiola enjoyed a four-year trophy-laden spell with the Nou Camp outfit, before making a move to Bayern Munich.
The 45-year-old mentor says he is concerned about the threat that Monchengladbach pose to his side.
“I’m worried about Monchengladbach,” he added.
“I know them very well. The Champions League starts in the first round and not in the knockout stages. You cannot make mistakes. If you relax in the first two games, you are out.”
