Chelsea have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Brazilian defender David Luiz back to Stamford Bridge.
The 29-year-old originally joined the Blues from Benfica back in 2011, making well over 100 appearances for them and scoring 12 goals, some of them truly spectacular.
The defender won back-to-back Ligue 1 titles with PSG, and even scored for the French champions when they knocked the English side out of the Champions League.
Manager Antonio Conte has been looking for defensive cover, and after two seasons and over 50 appearances in Ligue 1, the eccentric centre-back is returning to England.
"Chelsea Football Club and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed terms for the transfer of David Luiz back to London," read the brief statement on the club's official website. "The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical."
