There were goals aplenty in the four games that took place in the KNVB Beker on Thursday night as Vitesse recorded a huge win in the first round.
FC Twente fell at the first hurdle after they were beaten 3-1 by Eredivisie rivals FC Utrecht at De Grolsch Veste.
The visitors took the lead through Richairo Zivkovic after just 17 minutes, but Enes Unal (54') responded with an equaliser for the Tukkers early in the second half.
However, two late goals from Sebastien Haller (88') and Zivkovic (90') secured the win for Erik ten Hag's side.

Elsewhere, Vitesse cruised into the second round of the competition with a 7-2 thrashing of four-tier outfit De Dijk at Sportpark Schellingwoude.
Vitas never looked back after Lewis Baker fired them in front on nine minutes, with Kelvin Leerdam (34') extending their lead before half-time, although Harry Zwarthoed managed to pull one back for the hosts on 41 minutes.
Three quick-fire goals from Ricky van Wolfswinkel ( 59' pen) and Adnane Tighadouini (60. 64') early in the second half put the result beyond doubt and even though Dennis Kaars (67') struck again soon afterwards for the Amsterdammers, Milot Rashica (84') and Arshak Koryan (86') wrapped up the win late on.
Meanwhile, Eredivisie high flyers Feyenoord avoided a cup upset as they came from an early goal down to see off FC Oss 4-1 at De Kuip.
Tom Boere gave the visitors a dream start when he broke the deadlock after just three minutes, but they were pegged back soon afterwards by Steven Berghuis' 12th-minute equaliser.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men went on to score three goals in the second half through Michiel Kramer (68'), Bilal Basacikoglu (76') and Nicolai Jorgensen (90') to complete the comeback win.
