FC Rostov could face disciplinary action after a banana was thrown onto the field during their Champions League clash with PSV.
Fare director Piara Powar, whose organisation keeps abreast of racist incidents during games for UEFA, said they will file an official report regarding the incident.
According to the Fare network, the banana was thrown roughly eight minutes into Wednesday's tie where it remained for approximately 15 minutes.
A statement released by Powar read: "We have reviewed the media from the match and have seen that it took place in the eighth minute after Rostov scored and took place in the opposite end to the action.
"A supplementary report to Uefa will follow from us this morning."
Russian Football Union's honorary president, Vyacheslav Koloskov, says the incident was regrettable.
"This banana could cost us heavily. It's not to be tolerated at any time, especially now. Rostov may be forced to play a game behind closed doors," lamented Koloskov.
