FC Bayern München chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has denied that the club have any problems after failing to pick up maximum points in their last two matches.
Bayern lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in a UEFA Champions League Group D game in late September, and were then held to a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Koln in a Bundesliga clash last Saturday.
In addition, the loss to Atletico marks the fourth successive occasion FC Hollywood have lost to a Spanish outfit in Europe’s elite club competition.
With Bayern boasting unrivalled dominance in Germany in recent seasons, any kind of drop in performances is sure to set alarm bells ringing.
Nonetheless, Rummenigge has denied that recent results reflect any kind of downturn in fortunes.
He told the club’s official website: “We’ve taken 16 of a possible 18 points. We have no grounds for complaint. We’re a long way off having a problem.”
Carlo Ancelotti’s men now have close to a two-week break during the international window, before they face Eintracht Frankfurt on 15 October.
