The agent of Fran Villalba has revealed that Manchester United have made contact to enquire about the midfielder's situation at Valencia.
The 18-year-old is contracted to the La Liga club until 2018, although they are reportedly looking to tie him down to a longer deal at the Mestalla.
Villalba, who is a product of Los Che's youth system, made his first-team debut in the Copa del Rey last year December before being handed his league bow two weeks later.
The Spain Under-19 international is currently featuring for the reserve team in Segunda Division B, but Vicente Fores says his client has attracted interest from the Red Devils.
Fores told Sport Witness there was "just a contact to know his situation" and when asked if a bid was forthcoming, he replied: "We've just started talking. It's up to United.
"I don't know about Valencia, but I reckon they will make it hard," the teenager's representative added.
