Thomas Tuchel says it is a pleasure to work with the “extraordinary” Ousmane Dembele after the forward’s strong start to life at Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele has bagged one goal and provided two assists in his first six games for Dortmund after arriving in a £13million move from French side Rennes during the off-season transfer window.
The 19-year-old revealed earlier this week that his long-term ambition was to one day don the colours of Barcelona, although for the present he is keen to continue his development at Dortmund.
And Dortmund boss Tuchel wants to provide the teenager with the tools to succeed, after being hugely impressed by his talent.
“Of course we love his dribbling, we love his bravery, we love his pace, his control on the ball. We know a lot of the facets of his game from the training,” he told the club’s website.
“Ousmane is a player who brilliantly combines dribbling passing and making space to a very high level. That’s extraordinary.
“It’s a great pleasure to work with him and it’s a big challenge for him to face everything he has and still be the level he is.
“We hope that we can provide him the environment he needs to develop in the way he wants and that he is a great assistance for us also.”
