FC Bayern München manager Carlo Ancelotti has urged his side to continue playing with ‘high intensity’ following the club’s return to winning form against PSV in the Champions League.
The Italian was unhappy with his players’ application and commitment in the lead up to the 4-1 victory over PSV, and made it clear that he expected better.
Prior to that win, FC Hollywood had not won for three matches and were widely criticised for their lacklustre performance in a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
Nonetheless, Ancelotti has stressed that maintaining high levels of intensity and commitment is important when they face Borussia Mönchengladbach at Allianz Arena on Saturday evening.
The 57-year-old told the club’s official website: “I know about the history of games between Bayern and Gladbach. Bayern have always had it difficult, and that’s why we need a really good performance.
“We have to play with really high intensity! Gladbach are strong on the counter with really good and quick forwards. We have to be weary of that and find the right balance.”
